Group-analytic psychotherapy is a method of treatment by
the group of the group, including its conductor. The
therapist-analyst helps in this process and puts his or her
knowledge and education at the service of the
group.
The aim of group
psychotherapy is therefore a liberation in a person’s inner
psychic life from that which prevents him or her changing,
from their inner blocks, a process of unlearning in a
sense.
The increase of
self-knowledge goes together with understanding others
better; the widening of horizons is altogether
profound.
